Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for <b>1 min or more<\/b>. (See <a href=\"SM352783\">NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION\/CONNECTION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            2. Remove the following parts:<\/p>\n<p>              a. Driver\u2013side air bag module (See <a href=\"SM353476\">DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM]<\/a>.) (See <a href=\"SM353477\">DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE INSTALLATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              b. Steering wheel (See <a href=\"SM353228\">STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>              c. Column cover (See <a href=\"SM356189\">COLUMN COVER REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            3. Disconnect the clock spring connector. (See <a href=\"SM353466\">CLOCK SPRING REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM]<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            4. Disconnect the steering angle sensor connector. (with adaptive front lighting system (AFS)) (See <a href=\"SM356268\">STEERING ANGLE SENSOR REMOVAL\/INSTALLATION<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>            5. Verify that the continuity is as indicated in the table.<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>\n<p>If not as indicated in the table, replace the clock spring.
