DETECTION CONDITION
|
• The following conditions are met, the difference between the target regulating valve opening angle and the actual regulating valve opening angle is 2 mm {0.08 in} or more for a continuous 3 s:
• The following conditions are met, the difference between the target regulating valve opening angle and the actual regulating valve opening angle is -6.2 mm {-0.25 in} or less for a continuous 3 s:
Diagnostic support note
• This is a continuous monitor (CCM).
• The check engine light illuminates if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition in two consecutive drive cycles or in one drive cycle while the DTC for the same malfunction has been stored in the PCM.
• FREEZE FRAME DATA /Snapshot data is available.
• DTC is stored in the PCM memory.
|
FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION
|
• PCM restricts engine torque.
• Restricts upper limit of the engine speed.
• Inhibits the EGR control.
• Inhibits the auto DPF regeneration control.
• Inhibits the compulsory DPF regeneration control.
• Inhibits the boost control.
• PCM restricts engine-transaxle integration control. (ATX)
|
POSSIBLE CAUSE
|
• Vacuum piping malfunction
• Vacuum chamber (built-into cylinder head cover) malfunction
• Turbocharger solenoid valve malfunction
• Check valve malfunction
