WHEEL HUB COMPONENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [REAR BRAKE (DISC)]

Caution

•  Performing the following procedures without first removing the rear ABS wheel-speed sensor may possibly cause an open circuit in the wiring harness if it is pulled by mistake. Before performing the following procedures, remove the rear ABS wheel-speed sensor (axle side) and fix it to an appropriate place where the sensor wiring harness will not be pulled by mistake while servicing the vehicle.

1.  Remove the rear ABS wheel-speed sensor from the wheel hub component.

2.  Remove the rear ABS wheel-speed sensor wiring harness from the bracket and set it aside so that it does not interfere with the servicing.

3.  Remove in the order indicated in the table.

4.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

4	Rear Disc plate
5	Bolt (wheel hub component)
6	Wheel hub component
7	Dust cover
8	Rear wheel hub bolt (See Rear wheel Hub Bolt Removal Note.) (See Rear wheel Hub Bolt Installation Note.)

Rear Brake Caliper Component Removal Note

1.  Remove the rear brake caliper component and suspend it out of the way using a cable.

Rear wheel Hub Bolt Removal Note

Note

•  Remove the rear wheel hub bolt only if there is any malfunction.

1.  Remove the rear wheel hub bolt from the wheel hub component using a press.

Rear wheel Hub Bolt Installation Note

1.  Press in new rear wheel hub bolt into the wheel hub component using a press.
