DETECTION CONDITION

•  C0044:28, C0044:64

―  The pressure from the brake fluid pressure sensor is not within specification

•  C0044:47, C0044:49

―  The voltage from the brake fluid pressure sensor is not within specification

•  C0044:51, C0044:8F

―  The DSC HU/CM detects the brake fluid pressure sensor internal circuit malfunction

•  C0044:54

―  The brake fluid pressure sensor detects the initialization procedure has not been perform

FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION

Refer to DTC TABLE. (See DTC TABLE [DSC HU/CM].)

POSSIBLE CAUSE

•  The initialization procedure for the brake fluid pressure sensor has not been performed

•  Brake fluid pressure sensor malfunction

•  Open or short circuit in the brake fluid pressure sensor circuit in DSC HU/CM

VERIFY BRAKE FLUID PRESSURE SENSOR INITIALIZATION

•  Has the brake fluid pressure sensor initialization procedure been performed?

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

Perform the brake fluid pressure sensor initialization procedure, then go to the next step.

(See DSC RELATED PARTS SENSOR INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE.)

VERIFY DTC TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED

•  Using the M-MDS, clear the DTC from the DSC HU/CM.
(See CLEARING DTC [DSC HU/CM].)

•  Start the engine and drive the vehicle at 10 km/h {6.2 mph} or more.

•  Using the M-MDS, perform the DSC HU/CM DTC inspection.
(See DTC INSPECTION [DSC HU/CM].)

•  Is the same DTC present?

Yes

Replace the DSC HU/CM, then go to the next step.

(See DSC HU/CM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [R.H.D.].)

No

Go to the next step.

VERIFY NO DTC IS PRESENT

•  Are any DTCs present?

Yes

Go to applicable DTC inspection.
