PARKING BRAKE LEVER ADJUSTMENT

1.  Pump the brake pedal a few times.

2.  Remove the center console tray. (See CENTER CONSOLE TRAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Pull the parking brake lever 1 notch to facilitate adjustment of the parking brake lever.

4.  Turn the adjusting nut and adjust the parking brake lever.

5.  Inspect the parking brake lever. (See PARKING BRAKE LEVER INSPECTION.)

6.  After adjustment, pull the parking brake lever one notch and verify that the brake system warning light illuminates.

7.  Release the parking brake.

8.  Verify that the rear brakes do not drag.
