FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL

1.  Affix the protective tape to the position shown in the figure to prevent scratches and damage.

2.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

3.  Remove the screws.

4.  Remove the fasteners.

5.  Slightly bend back the front mudguard and remove the screw.

6.  Remove the screws and fasteners.

7.  Remove the screws and fasteners which can be verified at the position where front under cover No.1 was pulled back.

8.  Remove the bolts.

9.  Remove the fastener which can be verified at the position where the fresh-air duct was pulled back.

10.  Remove the screws and fasteners.

Caution

•  The front bumper and front bumper slider are engaged firmly. If they are disengaged forcibly the bumper could fall and be damaged. Perform the servicing carefully when disengaging the front bumper from the front bumper slider.

•  When disengaging the front bumper from the front bumper slider, the front bumper could fall and be damaged. Support the front bumper so that it does not fall.

11.  Detach the front bumper from the front bumper slider while removing the hooks in the order of (1), (2), and (3) shown in the figure.

12.  Lift the front bumper in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and pull the front bumper from the pins.

13.  Hold the shaded area shown in the figure and pull the front bumper in the direction of the arrow to pull out the guide (LH) from the shroud panel.

14.  Hold the shaded area shown in the figure and pull the front bumper in the direction of the arrow to pull out the guide (RH) from the shroud panel.

15.  Disconnect the connectors.

16.  Remove the clips shown in the figure.

17.  While pressing the hook of the joint pipe in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, pull the joint pipe in the direction of arrow (2) to disconnect the joint pipe from headlight cleaner motor. (with headlight cleaner system)

18.  Remove the front bumper.
