HEADLIGHT BULB REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Headlight (bulb type)

1.  Turn the steering wheel in the direction opposite to the side on which the bulb is to be removed.

2.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

3.  Partially peel back the front mudguard. (See MUDGUARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Disconnect the connector.

5.  Remove the cover.

6.  While pressing the headlight HI/LO bulb retaining wire in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, move it in the direction of arrow (2) and detach the headlight HI/LO bulb retaining wire from the reflector.

7.  Lift up the headlight HI/LO bulb retaining wire in the direction of the arrow (3) shown in the figure.

Caution

•  If there is oil or dirt on the surface of the light bulb, excessive heat will build up and the life of the light bulb will be shortened. If the light bulb glass area is touched, wipe off any dirt using a soft cloth dampened with detergent diluted in water (approx. 5 %).

8.  Remove the headlight HI/LO bulb in the direction of arrow (4) shown in the figure.

9.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

Headlight (LED type)

Note

•  The LED-type headlight is integrated with the front combination light.

•  When replacing the LED-type headlight, replace the front combination light. (See FRONT COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
