DETECTION CONDITION

•  ABS HU/CM detects that the initialization procedure has not been performed

FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION

Refer to DTC TABLE. (See DTC TABLE [ABS HU/CM].)

POSSIBLE CAUSE

•  Initialization procedure for the ABS related parts sensor not performed

―  Low-G sensor

―  Yaw rate sensor

•  SAS control module malfunction

•  ABS HU/CM malfunction

VERIFY INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE

•  Was the following ABS related parts sensor initialization procedure performed?

―  Lateral acceleration sensor (low-G sensor)

―  Longitudinal acceleration sensor (low-G sensor)

―  Yaw rate sensor

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

Perform the ABS related parts sensor initialization procedure, then go to Step3.

(See ABS RELATED PARTS SENSOR INITIALIZATION PROCEDURE.)

VERIFY SAS CONTROL MODULE DTC

•  Using the M-MDS, perform the SAS control module DTC inspection.
(See DTC INSPECTION [STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM].)

(See DTC INSPECTION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM].)

•  Are any DTCs present?

Yes

Go to applicable DTC inspection.

(See DTC TABLE [STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM].)

(See DTC TABLE [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM].)

DTC troubleshooting completed, then go to the next step.

No

Go to the next step.

VERIFY DTC TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED

•  Using the M-MDS, clear the DTC from the ABS HU/CM.
(See CLEARING DTC [ABS HU/CM].)

•  Using the M-MDS, perform the ABS HU/CM DTC inspection.
(See DTC INSPECTION [ABS HU/CM].)

•  Is the same DTC present?

Yes

Repeat the inspection from Step1

If the malfunction recurs, replace the ABS HU/CM, then go to the next step.

(See ABS HU/CM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [R.H.D.].)

No

Go to the next step.

VERIFY NO DTC IS PRESENT

•  Are any DTCs present?

Yes

Go to applicable DTC inspection.

No

DTC troubleshooting completed.

3	VERIFY DTC TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED • Using the M-MDS, clear the DTC from the ABS HU/CM. (See CLEARING DTC [ABS HU/CM].) • Using the M-MDS, perform the ABS HU/CM DTC inspection. (See DTC INSPECTION [ABS HU/CM].) • Is the same DTC present?	Yes	Repeat the inspection from Step1 If the malfunction recurs, replace the ABS HU/CM, then go to the next step. 3		No	Go to the next step.
4	VERIFY NO DTC IS PRESENT • Are any DTCs present?	Yes	Go to applicable DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE [ABS HU/CM].)
4	VERIFY NO DTC IS PRESENT • Are any DTCs present?	No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
