DTC	C1031:68	Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
DETECTION CONDITION		•  Error is detected in ambient temperature sensor from PCM via CAN communication
FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION		Refer to DTC TABLE. (See DTC TABLE [DSC HU/CM].)
POSSIBLE CAUSE		•  Ambient temperature sensor malfunction •  PCM malfunction

Diagnostic Procedure

Step	Inspection		Action
1	VERIFY PCM DTC •  Using the M-MDS, perform the PCM DTC inspection. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC TEST [SKYACTIV-G 1.3, SKYACTIV-G 1.5].) (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC TEST [SKYACTIV-D 1.5].) •  Are any DTCs present?	Yes	Go to applicable DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE [SKYACTIV-G 1.3, SKYACTIV-G 1.5].) (See DTC TABLE [SKYACTIV-D 1.5].) DTC troubleshooting completed, then go to the next step.
		No	Go to the next step.
2	INSPECT AMBIENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR •  Inspect the ambient temperature sensor. (See AMBIENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR INSPECTION [MANUAL AIR CONDITIONER].) (See AMBIENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR INSPECTION [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER].) •  Is the ambient temperature sensor normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
		No	Replace the ambient temperature sensor, then go to the next step. (See AMBIENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MANUAL AIR CONDITIONER].) (See AMBIENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER].)
3	VERIFY DTC TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED •  Using the M-MDS, clear the DTC from the DSC HU/CM. (See CLEARING DTC [DSC HU/CM].) •  Using the M-MDS, perform the DSC HU/CM DTC inspection. (See DTC INSPECTION [DSC HU/CM].) •  Is the same DTC present?	Yes	Repeat the inspection from Step1 If the malfunction recurs, replace the PCM, then go to the next step. (See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 1.3, SKYACTIV-G 1.5].) (See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 1.5].)
		No	Go to the next step.
4	VERIFY NO DTC IS PRESENT •  Are any DTCs present?	Yes	Go to applicable DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE [DSC HU/CM].)
		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
