Description

Auto light sensitivity mismatch
Detection condition
•  The BCM received the following mismatches for 5 s or more with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on).
―  Auto light sensitivity setting required by BCM to set auto light sensor/rain sensor
―  Current value of auto light sensitivity setting which auto light sensor/rain sensor sends to BCM
Fail-safe
Auto light system
•  Continue the controls prior to the auto light malfunction detection.
Possible cause
•  Auto light sensor/rain sensor malfunction
•  BCM malfunction

VERIFY IF MALFUNCTIONING LOCATION IS AUTO LIGHT SENSOR/RAIN SENSOR DEPENDING ON REPEATABILITY
•  Clear the DTC for the BCM using the M-MDS.
•  Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 5 s or more.
•  Retrieve the BCM DTCs using the M-MDS.
•  Is the same DTC displayed?
Yes
Replace the auto light sensor/rain sensor, then go to the next step.

No
Go to Step 3.

VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED
•  Clear the DTC for the BCM using the M-MDS.
•  Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 5 s or more.
•  Retrieve the BCM DTCs using the M-MDS.
•  Is the same DTC displayed?
Yes
Replace the BCM, then go to the next step.

No
Go to the next step.

VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED
•  Are any other DTCs displayed?
Yes
Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.

No
DTC troubleshooting completed.
