Description

Fuel-cut error signal at time of collision received

Detection condition
•  The BCM received a fuel-cut error signal at the time of a collision from the SAS control module for 3 s or more with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on).

VERIFY BCM DTCs AGAIN
•  Clear the DTC for the BCM using the M-MDS.
•  Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 3 s or more.
•  Retrieve the BCM DTCs using the M-MDS.
•  Is the same DTC displayed?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Go to Step 5.

VERIFY SAS CONTROL MODULE DTCs
•  Retrieve the SAS control module DTCs using the M-MDS.
•  Are any other DTCs displayed?
Yes
Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
No
Go to the next step.

VERIFY IF MALFUNCTIONING LOCATION IS SAS CONTROL MODULE DEPENDING ON REPEATABILITY
•  Clear the DTC for the BCM using the M-MDS.
•  Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 3 s or more.
•  Retrieve the BCM DTCs using the M-MDS.
•  Is the same DTC displayed?
Yes
Replace the SAS control module, then go to the next step.
No
Go to Step 5.

VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED
•  Clear the DTC for the BCM using the M-MDS.
•  Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 3 s or more.
•  Retrieve the BCM DTCs using the M-MDS.
•  Is the same DTC displayed?
Yes
Repeat the inspection from Step 1.
•  If the malfunction recurs, replace the BCM.
Go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.

VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED
•  Are any other DTCs displayed?
Yes
Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
No
DTC troubleshooting completed.
