THEFT-DETERRENT SIREN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Rear package tray (See REAR PACKAGE TRAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Trunk covering (See TRUNK COVERING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Partially peel back the trunk side trim (LH) to the position allowing removal of the theft-deterrent siren.(See TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Disconnect the connector.

5.  Remove the bolts.

6.  Remove the theft-deterrent siren.

7.  While pressing the tabs of the clip in thedirection of arrow (1) shown in the figure,press it in the direction of arrow (2) todetach the connector tabs from the bracket.

8.  Disconnect the connector from the theft-deterrent siren.

9.  Remove the short-cord from the theft-deterrent siren.

10.  Remove the nut.

11.  Remove the theft-deterrent siren from the bracket.

12.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
