COWL GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

SKYACTIV-G 1.3, SKYACTIV-G 1.5

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the windshield wiper arm and blade. (See WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Disconnect windshield washer hose B from joint pipe A of windshield washer hose A. (See WINDSHIELD WASHER HOSE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Remove the clips.

5.  Remove the fasteners.

6.  Pull the cowl grille in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove it while detaching the tabs.

7.  Remove the cowl grille.

8.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the windshield wiper arm and blade. (See WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Disconnect windshield washer hose B from joint pipe A of windshield washer hose A. (See WINDSHIELD WASHER HOSE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Remove the fasteners.

5.  Insert the remover tool into the slanted line area shown in the figure, move it in the direction of the arrow and detach the center cowl grille tabs from the cowl grille.

6.  Tilt the center cowl grille in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and detach the hooks from the cowl grille.

7.  Remove the center cowl grille.

8.  Remove the clips.

10.  Pull the cowl grille in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove it while detaching the guides.

11.  Remove the cowl grille.

12.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
