REAR SEAT BACK FRAME REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Caution

•  When performing the procedure with a rear seat removed from the vehicle, perform the procedure on a clean cloth so as not to damage or dirty the seat.

1.   When removing the left side seat back on signal or 6:4 split type seat, remove the following parts:

(1)  Rear seat cushion (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Rear center seat belt lower anchor securing bolt (See REAR CENTER SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2.  Remove the rear seat back. (See REAR SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the head restraint. (Except head restraint-integrated rear seat)

4.  Move the rear seat back trim hooks in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure, and detach the rear seat back trim hooks from the rear seat back frame.

5.  While pressing the top tether anchor tab in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, move the top tether anchor cover in the direction of arrow (2) and detach the top tether anchor cover from the rear seat back frame.(with top tether anchor)

6.  Remove the hooks.(with hooks)

7.  Remove the hooks.

8.  While pressing the tabs in the direction of arrows (1) shown in the figure, pull the pole guides in the direction of arrow (2) and remove the pole guides from the front seat back frame. (Except head restraint-integrated rear seat)

9.  While pressing the rear seat belt cover tab in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, move the rear seat belt cover in the direction of arrow (2) and detach the rear seat belt cover tab from the rear seat back frame.(4SD)

10.  Remove the screws and fasteners shown in the figure and remove the rear center seat belt cover.(5HB)

11.  While pressing the push knob cover tab in the directions of arrows (1) shown in the figure, move the push knob cover in the direction of arrow (2) and remove the push knob cover.(5HB)

12.  Lift the rear seat back trim and the rear seat back pad as a single unit in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove them from the rear seat back frame.

13.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
