REAR CENTER SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Caution

•  If the retractor is disassembled, the rear center seat belt will not pull out or retract correctly due to looseness and excessive play. Therefore, do not disassemble the retractor.

4SD (Three-point Type Rear Center Seat Belt)

1.  Switch the ignition off.

2.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

3.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Rear scuff plate (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Rear seat cushion (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Tire house trim (See TIRE HOUSE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  C-pillar trim (See C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)  High-mount brake light (See HIGH-MOUNT BRAKE LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(6)  Rear package trim (See REAR PACKAGE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Remove the bolts.

5.  Remove the rear center seat belt retractor in the direction of the arrow.

6.  Remove the rear buckle (LH).

7.  Remove the rear center seat belt.

8.  Install in the reverse order of removal. (See Rear center seat belt installation note.)

Rear center seat belt installation note

1.  After installing the rear center seat belt, place it as shown in the figure.

4SD (Two-point Type Rear Center Seat Belt)

1.  Remove the rear seat cushion. (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2.  Remove the bolt.

3.  Remove the rear buckle (LH).

4.  Remove the rear center seat belt.

5.  Install in the reverse order of removal. (See Rear center seat belt installation note.)

Rear center seat belt installation note

1.  After installing the rear center seat belt, place it as shown in the figure.

5HB (Three-point Type Rear Center Seat Belt)

Note

•  The rear center seat belt is building into the rear seat back.

1.  Switch the ignition off.

2.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

3.  Remove the rear seat cushion. (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Disconnect the rear buckle switch connector. (with rear buckle switch)

5.  Remove the bolt.

6.  Remove the rear buckle (LH).

7.  Remove the rear seat back. (See REAR SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

8.  Remove the rear seat back frame. (See REAR SEAT BACK FRAME REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

9.  Remove the guide.

10.  Move the rear center seat belt in the order of arrows (1), (2), and (3) shown in the figure, and remove it from the guide.

11.  Remove the screw.

12.  Remove the guide.

13.  Remove the nut.

14.  Remove the rear center seat belt retractor from the rear seat back frame.

15.  Remove the rear center seat belt.

16.  Install in the reverse order of removal. (See Rear center seat belt installation note.)

1.  After installing the rear center seat belt, place it as shown in the figure.
